The second session of “Run for Love” starts on Saturday

The second session of “Run for Love” relay race, sponsored by SSCLF – Kai Long Public Welfare Fund will be held in Shanghai Xuhui riverside on November 12. More than 300 people from 60 teams will participate in the event. All the funds raised at the event will go to student assistance project for two high schools in Southeast Autonomous Prefecture in Guizhou Zhuang Autonomous Region.

 

The charity themed relay run is not only a running competition but also a competition of appealing for love. The organizers will confer an award on the team raising the highest amount of money on the day of the event. The “Run for Love” organizing committee first adds 1,000 meter mini charity marathon project for children. After completing the mini charity marathon, the children will receive medals and certificates in order to encourage them to participate in charity activities.

 

Since the beginning of 2014, SSCL - KaiLong public welfare fund has provided financial assistance for excellent and poor students for three consecutive years at Gudong High School and Mahao High School in Southeast Autonomous Prefecture in Guizhou Zhuang Autonomous Region and still assisted the students of the two schools after graduation who need help.

 

The project funded 129 students and 137 students respectively in 2014 and 2015. During student home visits in June this year, 77 students were assisted financially and in the second half of this year, the project has provided financial support to 25 new students of junior middle schools and 65 high school students and college students.

Competition Form: With companies as units for the entries to the competition, each team consists of 5 players (must include 1 female player, each company can have a number of teams), each player takes one’s turn to complete 1.8 km race and each team complete a total of 9 km.

Awards: Team Award: three teams; Female’s team award: one team; Fastest individual award: one person; Fund raised award: one team
