Guizhou Qiannan Apple Peach Project Director: Dai Jun

On April 10, 20 Apple Peach Project households in Weng’an County, Qiannan, took over the relay baton from the households of phase 1 and started launching the phase 2! Headed by project director Dai Jun and the volunteers, 20 households of phase 1 cultivated apple peaches and their income increased. Among them, 12 households quitted their jobs in the cities, started their own businesses in their hometown, and reunited with their families. May the phase 2 a great success.

Guangxi Guigang Dendrobium Project Director: Zhao Muhua

Led by director Zhao Muhua and the volunteer, the farmers cultivated dendrobium and their income increased during the past three years. The phase 1 of relay baton project has been successfully completed, with the phase 2 in the pipeline right now.

The main work of the project households this quarter is honey’s sale and its management in spring. Bees raised by project households collected a total of 3,000 kg of honey in this quarter, which was worth 300,000 yuan, with an average household income of 15,000 yuan.

The main work of the 10 project households this quarter is the edible fungus management of greenhouses. In May, some project households participated in the training of edible fungus cultivation techniques organized by the county poverty alleviation bureau. Zhouqin Mushroom Base was used as a practical operation training course for households.
